Celebrate the Best of Loudoun’s Local Products at the Loudoun Grown Expo
On Saturday, February 18, 2012, Purcellville will host the Loudoun Grown Expo. This event brings Loudoun’s farms, wineries, and producers together and offers visitors a chance to meet winemakers, farmers, and other personalities involved in Loudoun’s booming rural business community. Visitors will be able to meet the people behind these businesses and learn about community supported agriculture (CSA’s) programs, bakeries, wine from Loudoun’s wineries, upcoming food and wine events, locally raised beef, honey, and farmers markets.
The Expo will also offer great local musical talent including Ian Gallagher on violin and guitar, Fiddlin’ Dave & Morgan and Gold Heart. Get ready for some foot tapping music!
The event is held in the historic Bush Tabernacle, a property on the National Register of Historic Places from 2-6pm. And admission is FREE! For more information, “Like” them on Facebook, or visit their website at LoudounGrownExpo.com.
Why not make it a weekend and combine your visit with a trip to some Loudoun wineries? Winery and accommodations information is at VisitLoudoun.org.

This sounds fabulous! I am a wedding planner in the area and I have couples that want to use local products as part of their wedding. I am always looking for locally grown flowers, food and small gifts as wedding favors. In July, I will be planning a “Taste of Leesburg” themed wedding so this will be a fun way to do a little research.
