Kick Off the New Year at First Night Leesburg

Do you have any plans for New Year’s Eve?

On Friday, December 31st, kick off the New Year right with a celebration of music and the arts in historic downtown Leesburg! First Night Leesburg is a family-focused, alcohol-free event for all ages. Its a great way to celebrate with family and friends.

Entertainment scheduled for this year includes more than 100 performances at more than 20 venues throughout historic downtown Leesburg featuring Jazz, classical music, puppet shows, bluegrass, folk music, hayrides, storytelling, rock & roll, and so much more.

All of the locations for this year’s events are within walking distance of one another. Continuous shuttle bus service connects the major sites and is handicapped accessible. Sites include boardrooms, lobbies, courtrooms, church sanctuaries, parish halls, and more. Parking is FREE At the two large downtown Leesburg parking garages.

First Night perfomances scheduled from 6pm to 11:45pm. At midnight, to ring in the New Year, there is a Grand Illumination at the Leesburg Courthouse.

There will also be food vendors at First Night Leesburg.

Adults are $10; Seniors (50+) are $8; Children (3-12) are $3 (Under 3 are free). Admission buttons can be purchased at the Loudoun Visitors Center, the Leesburg Pharmacy, the Pink Shop of Leesburg, the Leesburg Town Office, Ida Lee Park Recreation Center, and the Bluemont Office in Purcellville. On December 31, admission buttons will be available for sale beginning at 5pm and will continue throughout the evening at First Night Admission Booths on King and Market streets in downtown Leesburg. Buttons may also be purchased at most performance venues after 6pm (cash and checks only).
